ABOUT ME

I've been playing video games since I was five years old. As I've grown, my passion for gaming has grown, as well. Now, I would like to take my own journey into the game development world and contribute the best I can to an industry and community that has been deeply ingrained in myself. I recently completed my studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, earning a B.S. in Games & Simulation Arts & Sciences with a concentration in Cognitive Science, and have learned a lot about games and how they are made.

PROJECTS

These games seen below are projects that have been completed as course work during my time at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 

Space Luddites is a side-scrolling brawler developed with the Unity Engine. The project was completed over a period of 3 months with 4 other individuals. I was responsible for the AI of the enemies and boss, including movement and attacks, and laid the groundwork for the spawning of the enemies.

Depression is a serious game about the effects of depression on everyday life. Made in Unity, with the help of 3 others, this game was finished in 2 months. I programmed the character's interactions with each item, the sounds made when interacting with each item, and how the music changed based on the state of the character.

Schmory is a story-based, side-scrolling shoot 'em up built with the Pygame library. It is the result of one week's development with 4 other people. My tasks included the programming of the "word" characters, including the movement, projectiles, and transformations, and the boss, including the projectiles and the phases of the fight.

I Mustn't Run Away is an experimental game about social anxiety and how it affects people. This project was completed in Unity with 5 individuals in a matter of one week. My duties were programming the characters and how they would trigger the visual anxiety effects, via collision or making eye contact.
